Converting existing adventure paths for the planes

Just wondered: Has any of you ever converted/played a complete existing adventure path (like Savage Tide or Shackled City from Dungeon Magazine, one of the Pathfinder APs...) for a Planescape campaign?

Savage Tide is the obvious

Savage Tide is the obvious candidate, of course, with all the planar content already there.

Taking that into account, Age of Worms may fit as well (and has been attempted, apparently: http://mimir.planewalker.com/forum/planescape-age-worms

Personally I could never do it though. Adventure paths intimidate me :)

Thanks for sharing the link.

Yeah, neither could I. The levelling is way too quick for my taste and most APs are rather combat-oriented.

I had heard very positive comments about Shackled City and thought that some of its interaction- and intrigue-elements could be used further develop certain plotlines of my campaign in Sigil, but the AP didn't really convince me. Too many dungeons, too many fights, not enough context.

Not really, I'm not big on

Not really, I'm not big on adventure paths or modules.

But since you mentioned Dungeon magazine, the D&D4E early issues of Dungeon had an adventure path (Scales of War) that had to do with a big Githyanki war. It starts more "down to earth" but eventually goes planar around level 11. I didn't actually read it all, or in any depth, so I can't comment a lot, but I would expect it to require relatively little conversion (at least compared to an adventure path that does not focus on the Planes), even with the different cosmology.

The 4E magazines are considerably better than most 4E material, with a lot more fluffy, and even if you use other systems there is a lot that can be used (you'll need your own monsters and encounters, though).

Ah yes, Scales of War.

Ah yes, Scales of War. Unfortunately I stopped reading Dragon and Dungeon Magazine when 4E came out, so I completely missed it.
Would be interesting to know if there are any coincidences with the Rrakkma-Project.

Most of the adventures paths

Most of the adventures paths are too focused on the Prime to adapt them completely to the planes. I wanted to try the Kingmaker AP in the Outlands. It would be different, the PC's start in a ruined fey city, and they explore/add new areas by restoring a web of feyroads, also by capturing the walking castles.

Nothing so far, it's third on

Nothing so far, it's third on my list of possible future campaigns. Only know that the first wave of inhabitants will come from a destroyed civilization, or world.

I'm prepping Mummy's Mask,

I'm prepping Mummy's Mask, though I'm going to be running it in Golarion, and it just occurred to me it could probably be kind of repurposed for Pelion. Also, I think you can generally just take most Prime adventures and dump them on the Outlands pretty easily.

Can you recommend Mummy's Mask?
I have very fond memories of The Desert of Desolation - so another pharaonic themed adventure might be fun.

I've actually only read the first book so far, the game hasn't started yet due to some scheduling delays. In case non-GMs are looking here,

Spoiler: Highlight to view
The whole first adventure is about exploring three tombs in an Osirian necropolis. It feels like a decent mix of combat and traps, with a little bit of standard secret door shenanigans you might expect from a tomb raiding adventure. There's a ton of flavour packed into the three tombs though, a whole lot about who is buried there and what their life was about put into things like wall decorations and undead guardians.

Council of Thieves

I wonder if AP: Council of Thieves (http://paizo.com/pathfinder/adventurePath/councilOfThieves) could be converted to take place in Torch, Gate-town to Gehenna? (http://mimir.planewalker.com/forum/outlands-gatetowns-torch-gatetown-gehenna)
