Math and Mechanus VII: More items

The Common Divisor--Simply put, the Common Divisor is a mythical sword that can cut through anything. While its benefits on the battlefield are obvious, the Common Divisor can also cut through Time, Space, Toril's magic Weave, etc. There are various fables and folktales on the planes about the sword cutting this or that, each more clever and embellished than the last. The sword cut through identity, the sword cut through the past and changed history, etc. Most agree that the Axioms created the sword from the silver light of pure Law, but Pi stole it immediately upon his creation and ran. Whether the Axioms allowed this to happen is unclear, but...

Math and Mechanus VI: Sets as Monsters

Living Sets are akin to living spells, but rather than being manifestations of magic they are manifestations of Law. As such, most living sets are either LE, LN, or LG and only in rare cases are they chaotic. Each living set has some assortment of magical abilities which it uses in its chosen mission. They cannot be seen save by spells such as true-seeing, which reveal an amobea like creature formed from light. Geometric crystals sparkle within its body, flickering with their own energies. Sets vary in color and size as well. The origin of living sets is unclear, some believe they arise from the plane of Mechanus, others suspect the hand of the mysterious Axioms. The beings may come from Mechanus, but they are found across the planes though they are incredibly rare to the point many believe members to be unique.

The Inhabitants of Stray Manor, Lady's Ward

According to the lies they tell when bubbed, the Seven Stars gained
possession of Stray Manor from the Lady herself. Obviously they were
addlepated during that ruckus months back, they all have the
overconvinced glare of the barmy about them. What ruckus? The one where
some bubbers and clueless swore they saw an actual Power in Sigil, when
it was actually just some vicious arcane storms. Everybody knows Powers
cannot enter The Cage, especially third rate Powers like Vecna...

Gazetteer of the Grey: Gallows Wood & The Horse of the Hanged

I hung upon that windswept tree for nine days and nine nights, pierced by my own spear. I stared into the void between and beyond all things, until I spied the runes and seized them up. And howling, I fell.

Blade of Innocence 2: Ramifications

A single fly screeching cannot be heard. But billions of billions of them, each a traitor born of the same betrayal, is a cacophony. Memories are harmless so long as the feeling of the past is barred.

The ecstasy nearly throws him off his mount. A beautifully scented twist in the spacial folds, a delicious contradiction within the orders of infinity. Why had he not felt this before? He is always smiling, but this time there is truth to it. He turned his bronze mount with a tap of his scythe. He must, after so long, speak with his sister.
