Faith is for the barbarians. We have no use for faith. We are the True, and we have seen the proof with our own eyes. The Liberator has returned. She has come in our hour of need.
Gerg'klanwas sitting, knees folded atop the husk of the Dead God. He watched the astral current with a sad expression, the winds of the silver void whirling madly nearby.
The githyanki pushed open a flask of Ny'yrv. Remembering the old times, he gulped the strong spiced juice. He and his spirit-brother used to spend long moments on this desert and forgotten husk, watching the winds, drinking the juice brewed by the m'lar.
Githyanki are normally polite toward one another... but not always. None of the insults below should be used against a githyanki carelessly by the wise.
"Astralwood grows on the dead bodies of the old Powers of Nature. It is no real wood, but a mixture of the God's essence and Astral energies. "I know of no effects bringing it to the Prime or Inner Planes; it slowly dissolves in the Ethereal; and it adapts in the Outer Planes. That is, wherever you bring it in the Outer Planes, it will not be harmed by the environment, and it will appear like an item crafted on that plane - so much that even spells consider it an original item of that plane. "That is what I know of Astralwood. Oh, and it is rare and expensive."

Here is a small sampling:
The Queen is no more! How this has come to pass is not as important as what the repercussions of this will be for the People. I have led you into a thousand battles and more. I have spilled the blood of those who would oppose the Queen, and those who would harm the People. I have worn the blood of fallen warriors, and carried their tokens back to this fastness in honor.
The Astral Plane seems, to the casual observer, to be a bleak and endless expanse of silver nothingness, interrupted only by the appearance of matter from other planes of existence. And such is indeed the case - for the most part. A few instances of natural disruption in this otherwise placid state do exist, though, sweeping across the Astral in a manner similar to weather patterns and storm fronts common to other planes of existence.
Manuriel: “Hand of Nature” or “Astral Forest”Brief Description:
I’llsay one thing for the githyanki; they know how to build stuff. You’llnote, dear diary, that I’m using the githzerai emphasis on the word ‘know’there. I’m getting ahead of myself, though. I’ll begin at the beginning.
