It is known that there are layers in the Abyss that even the tanar'ri are afraid of. But these layers are usually well-hidden, and few travellers ever find their way there. Recently though, an area of the Abyss' very first layer is giving the fiends nightmares: The gorging hole, which appeared only a few weeks ago, has turned into the most popular lurid tale among the tanar'ri.

Salt Element Creatures Salt Element Creatures are most at home in the Quasi-elemental Plane of Salt or other similar places, they could also be found in the Negative Energy Plane where all water has long been dried up or corrupted. They appear as their material counterparts all encrusted with a very thick layer of salt crystals. Their ever-thirsty eyes glow from beneath the outer layers of salt.
Khaasta develop swiftly both physically and mentally, and often venture out on their own before they are fully mature. Many find a niche for themselves out in the Planes and, with typical khaasta practicality and lack of sentimentality, never return to their families.

Awhile back I was traveling through Acheron, and I stumbled upon a group of armies viciously tearing each other apart, not an uncommon event, most assuredly.Not being particularly suicidal, I stayed as far away from the actual battle as I could. It lasted for what seemed to be hours, and in the end, all that was left was the carnage of mutilated forms, humanoid and otherwise.
