Customized Domains for Clerics
Domains:Usually, new domains are just added to existing domains of the deity. Normal clerics still only choose two domains to gain the powers and spells of, they just gain a greater range of domains to chose from. DM adjucating is required when the domains aren't expressly stated. Some DM's, for instance, want to add Magic to Correllon Larethian's domain list. With this rule, they are free to do so.
Domain Spells:Domain Spells are replaced, not added on as alternates. If you are using a "house rule" domain spell, it replaces the spell of the equivalent level. Why: Ps3e.com and other sources provide alternate domains for gods and alternate domain spells for domains. This rule allows those who chose to use it the ability to use these alternate domains and domain spells.Pro: Allows use of new domains and domain spells, and for more flexability when "rule zeroing" such qualities of the game.Con: Requires a bit of DM adjucating to limit senseless domains. Just because a god is warlike doesn't mean it's a god of war, and just because a spell has to do with water doesn't mean it should replace the default domain spells.By: Jacob DriscollImported from a previous version of Planewalker.com
